What is EVOH Plastic L104A ?

EVOH L104A is a high-performance EVOH plastic material based on ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer with excellent oxygen barrier properties and good processing adaptability, which is widely used in packaging applications requiring high gas barrier properties. Whether for food, pharmaceuticals, or industrial functional films, EVOH L104A plastic provides stable structural strength and superior protection.

Excellent barrier properties

EVOH L104A has an extremely low oxygen permeability, which prevents oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases from permeating through it, dramatically extending the shelf life of food and pharmaceuticals. This characteristic makes it the first choice for high-barrier packaging materials, such as vacuum packaging, modified atmosphere packaging, etc.

Excellent mechanical strength

The EVOH plastic has high tensile strength and flexural modulus, which makes it not easy to become deformed or ruptured when subjected to external forces. At the same time, its good hardness (Rockwell hardness M scale 95) ensures abrasion resistance and durability, making it suitable for industrial parts that require long-term stability.

Stable thermal properties

Melt temperature is 191°C, glass transition temperature is 60°C, with good thermal processing stability.
Melt index is 8.9 g/10 min (210°C, 2.16 kg), with moderate fluidity, suitable for co-extrusion with PE, PP, and other materials.

Chemical stability and safety

EVOH L104A meets the standard for food contact materials, is non-toxic, and odorless, suitable for food packaging, medical devices, and other industries with strict hygiene requirements. Meanwhile, it has good chemical resistance to grease, organic solvents, etc. It is suitable for chemical containers and industrial packaging.
