PC S-3000VR | Polycarbonate Materials with Flame Retardancy
Product Struction
What are polycarbonate materials
As polycarbonate materials continue to evolve towards processing optimization and functional balance, the injection molding industry's requirements for "fluidity" and "mold release performance" are increasing. PC S-3000VR, launched by Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics, is a high-efficiency injection-grade polycarbonate that follows this trend. It is particularly suitable for production scenarios such as complex mold cavities, thin-walled products, and precision parts, providing injection molding factories with more cost-effective material options.
01 | Product highlights: High flow + self-mold release, releasing the potential of injection molding
PC S-3000VR is optimized for injection molding efficiency and has the following significant advantages:
✅Low viscosity and high flow, suitable for complex or multi-cavity molds
The polycarbonate material has excellent melt fluidity, and can quickly fill the mold and fill evenly even under conditions with thin wall thickness or long mold channels, effectively shortening the injection molding cycle, reducing energy consumption, and improving mold utilization.
✅Inner mold release agent eliminates additional processing
This material is pre-mixed with high-efficiency mold release additives, and does not require additional spraying or auxiliary material processing. It can significantly reduce mold release resistance and prevent wire drawing, mold sticking or deformation problems. It is particularly suitable for the production of small products with high surface quality or complex structures.
✅Both thermal stability and dimensional stability
While maintaining excellent processability, PC S-3000VR exhibits reliable heat deformation temperature and linear expansion control. It can be used for a long time under medium temperature conditions without deformation and low shrinkage, ensuring the consistency and structural accuracy of the product.
02 | Typical application areas: general but extraordinary
This polycarbonate materials are defined as "general", but its performance combination makes it particularly outstanding in the following application scenarios:
・Consumer electronics housing: smart devices with high gloss and complex buckle designs, digital cameras, remote controls
・Office automation equipment: precision plastic gears, card slot guides, printer accessories
・In-vehicle electronic components: small control module housings, instrument connectors, high-temperature structural parts
・General household appliance structural parts: remote controls, power adapter housings, slide rail components, etc.
For manufacturing companies, choosing PC S-3000VR can significantly improve production continuity and yield, while reducing the uncertainty risks caused by raw material processing sensitivity.
03 | Process adaptation suggestions
In order to give full play to its high flow characteristics, the following injection molding parameter range is recommended:
・Heating temperature: 270–310°C
・Mold temperature: 80–120°C
・Injection speed: medium-high speed
・Injection pressure: can be appropriately reduced to improve cycle efficiency
・Drying conditions: 100–120°C, 3–4 hours, avoid water-containing molding resulting in silver wire and bubbles
