What is PA6 Resin
Among the many polyamide materials, PA6 7301 NC010 is the ideal choice for film, sheet and profile processing due to its pure, unreinforced and unfilled properties, combined with excellent optical properties and flexibility. This native-coloured resin is not only mechanically well-balanced, but also offers an outstanding combination of light transmission, impact resistance and process friendliness.
01 | Technical data at a glance
Optically, the material has a gloss level of up to 90° at 60° and a haze of only 0.02%, showing a clear visual performance with virtually no stray light, which makes it suitable for parts requiring visual presentation or visual inspection (e.g., packaging window film, transparent covers, etc.).
Mechanically, PA6 7301 NC010 resin has a vertical elongation at break of up to 400 per cent and a tensile strength of 80 MPa (vertically), while good impact resistance (cantilever beam notched impact strength of 6 kJ/m²) ensures that it maintains its toughness and integrity in thin-walled structures and under dynamic loading. Its tensile modulus of 2900 MPa (in the flow direction) ensures flexibility while providing structural rigidity to the base.
Thermally, the pa6 resin has a heat deflection temperature (0.45 MPa) of 160°C and a melting point of 221°C, which combines high thermal stability with processing flexibility, making it suitable for heat sealing, lamination and coextrusion processes.

02 | Material highlights combine innovative formulation ideas
As an unreinforced, unfilled and pure PA6, 7301 NC010 resin offers a rare balance of mechanical and optical properties. The material design provides innovative value in the following areas:
Optically pure formulation: low haze and high gloss to meet the visual appearance requirements of high-end packaging and electronic housings;
Excellent multi-directional ductility: 350% / 400% elongation at break in the flow direction and vertical direction, respectively, to improve strain resistance under complex moulding;
Excellent interfacial integration: good compatibility with other thermoplastic materials, which is conducive to multi-layer structures or overmoulding;
Potential for flame retardant optimisation: Scorch filament ignition temperature of up to 725°C provides a good platform for the development of halogen-free flame retardant versions.
03 | Process suitability: injection moulding, extrusion and coating
PA6 7301 NC010 is suitable for the following moulding methods:
Injection moulding: low warpage for complex thin-walled parts;
Extrusion moulding: combination of high melt flowability and flexibility for continuous production of films and tubes;
Coating: a balance of flow and thermal stability that makes it suitable for lamination with other substrates.
In addition, the material has a static coefficient of friction of 0.22 (against steel), which gives it scope for performance in applications where anti-slip or wear resistance is required.
04 | Application areas: films, profiles, precision sheets
Thanks to its outstanding combination of properties, PA6 7301 NC010 resin is used in a wide range of applications in the following areas:
Food-contact packaging films: outer films requiring oxygen and water vapour barrier;
Automotive interior parts or cladding profiles: combining glossy appearance with flexibility and crack resistance;
Industrial rolls/electronic films: requiring dimensional stability and a certain degree of heat resistance;
Highly transparent injection moulded parts: e.g. transparent housings, window parts, lighting structure parts, etc.
A Southeast Asian customer recently used this material to develop a highly transparent electronic module protective cover, realising the need for a thin-walled, high-strength, smooth-surface appearance, and significantly improving product texture.
