LUCEL POM FW720F Low wear plastic raw material
Product Struction
Polyoxymethylene (POM), also known as acetal, polyacetal, or polyformaldehyde, is a high-density, high-crystallinity thermoplastic engineering plastic synthesized from formaldehyde and other raw materials. POM-H (homopolymer) and POM-K (copolymer) are renowned for their exceptional physical, mechanical, and chemical properties, particularly their outstanding friction resistance.
POM is a high-density crystalline polymer with no side chains, exhibiting excellent comprehensive performance. It has a smooth and glossy surface, is hard and dense, and typically appears in light yellow or white. POM can be used long-term within a temperature range of -40°C to 100°C, demonstrating good wear resistance and self-lubrication. Compared to most engineering plastics, POM also shows superior oil resistance and peroxide resistance. Its UV resistance is significantly enhanced with the addition of UV stabilizers.
Specifically, POM FW720F is a granular material with a flammability rating of HB and low wear characteristics. This makes it highly effective for applications in gears, printer components, rollers, and cameras. Its surface resistance is 1E14 Ω, and its volume resistivity at 23°C is 1E16 Ω·cm. The tensile strength is 49.01 MPa, and the elongation at break is 40%. Additionally, POM FW720F has a flexural modulus of 2254.90 MPa, a flexural strength of 78.43 MPa, a notched Izod impact strength of 4.5 kJ/m², and a heat distortion temperature of 155°C at 0.45 MPa and 110°C at 1.8 MPa. Its specific gravity is 1.52 g/cm³, melt index is 9 g/10min, flow shrinkage rate is 1.3-1.6%, and Rockwell hardness is 70.
The low wear characteristics and high flammability rating of POM FW720F make it widely used in gears, printer components, rollers, and cameras. Its excellent physical and mechanical properties position it as a standout among engineering plastics, particularly in high-performance applications. By optimizing production processes and material formulations, POM FW720F maintains stable performance even in various harsh environments.
