EVOH E171A is an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) resin developed by Kuraray Co., Ltd., designed for applications requiring extremely high gas barrier performance, and is ideal for multilayer food packaging, medical containers, and industrial barrier films.

EVOH E171A can effectively block oxygen and carbon dioxide, extend the shelf life of food and medicine, maintain their freshness, help companies reduce waste and improve product quality.

Excellent mechanical properties - ensure stable and durable packaging

EVOH E171A has a tensile strength of up to 35 MPa and a flexural modulus of 4800 MPa, which ensures the structural integrity of multi-layer packaging and ensures that the product is not easily damaged during transportation and storage.

Recommended matching materials:

If stronger compression resistance is required, PP (polypropylene) granules are also a good choice for more complex packaging designs and high-load applications.

 

Stable processing performance - improve production efficiency

The material has a melt index of 1.7 cm³/10min (190°C), providing smooth extrusion, coextrusion and blow molding performance.

Further optimization:

If you have high transparency requirements during processing, PET (polyethylene terephthalate) can be used together with EVOH materials to provide better transparency and chemical resistance.
