What is Desmopan TPU 358E ?

Desmopan 385E is Covestro's premium thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) product with high strength, excellent elasticity and wear resistance for injection molding and extrusion processes. Its V-2 flame retardant properties and polyester based non-reinforced properties make it excellent in a variety of industrial applications.

1. High strength:

The polyester base structure gives the material excellent tensile strength and wear resistance.

2. Flame retardant (Class V-2) :

Desmopan 385E meets UL 94 Class V-2 standards to improve product safety.

3. Flexible processing:

The TPU 385E supports injection molding and extrusion, suitable for complex structures and mass production.

4. Non-reinforced design:

1. Engineering and technical components

Desmopan 385E is suitable for technical components requiring high impact resistance and durability, such as precision parts in automotive, electronic and mechanical equipment.

2. The hose and tubing

Desmopan TPU materials suitable for fluid conveying and resistance to chemical corrosion applications, such as industrial hose, fuel pipe and hydraulic pipe, to ensure long term stability.

3. The film and screen pack

It can be used in wear-resistant transparent film, protective film and electronic equipment shell, with excellent scratch resistance and flexibility.

4. Hard-soft composite system

The TPU 385E's excellent binding force enables better material compatibility and is widely used in automotive interiors, sports equipment and industrial components to enhance overall performance
