III. Model Differences and Selection Guide

Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Series (CF)

・Features: High modulus, high strength, and excellent wear resistance.

  ・Representative Models:

CF40 black (5099): With a flexural strength of up to 365 MPa, it is one of the stiffest grades in the series.

CF30 black (5049): With balanced performance and excellent processability, it is suitable for automotive and industrial applications.

CF10™ black (5050/7759): A low carbon fiber ratio provides improved fluidity and a low coefficient of friction, making it suitable for complex structural parts.

・Applicable industries: Aerospace, bearing housings, gears, and medical wear-resistant parts.

Glass Fiber Reinforced Series (GF)

・Features: Excellent dimensional stability, strong creep resistance, and cost advantages.

  ・Representative models:

        GF50 natural (5100) and GF60 9 natural (5184): Strength exceeds 320 MPa, suitable for load-bearing structures.

GF30 natural (5047): Excellent fluidity and short molding cycles make it a versatile engineering solution.

GF30 9 natural (6070): Slightly lower heat deflection temperature, suitable for medium-temperature working conditions or insulation parts.

・Applicable industries: Automotive brackets, medical tools, electronic housings, fluid connectors, etc.

IV. Common Advantages

Stable Temperature Resistance: All models have a melting temperature of 342°C and can withstand long-term heat up to 280°C.

Excellent Mechanical Balance: Carbon fiber models prioritize strength and wear resistance, while glass fiber models prioritize rigidity and dimensional stability.

Excellent Chemical Resistance: Resistant to most acids, alkalis, oils, and organic solvents.

Wide Process Compatibility: Suitable for mainstream processes such as injection molding, extrusion, and CNC machining.

Compliance with Medical and Aerospace Regulations: Some models have passed V-0 biocompatibility and flame retardancy testing.

V. Processing and Application Recommendations

Injection Molding Temperature: The recommended range is 360–400°C, with mold temperatures controlled between 160–200°C.

Flowability Differences: The CF series requires higher shear rates, while the GF series is suitable for complex molds.

Post-Processability: All models can be precision-cut, polished, and ultrasonically welded.

VI. Market and Industry Trends

In recent years, demand for PEEK-reinforced composites has increased significantly in the automotive lightweighting and medical re-sterilization sectors.

・Carbon fiber grades have seen the fastest growth in metal structural replacement.

・Glass fiber grades continue to dominate industrial applications due to their cost-effectiveness and fatigue resistance.

・The global market is expected to maintain an 8–10% compound annual growth rate over the next three years, particularly in electric vehicles and surgical equipment.

VII. Selection Recommendations

Application ScenarioRecommended GradesRationale
