Polyoxymethylene, commonly known as POM, also known as acetal or Delrin, is a thermoplastic engineering plastic polymerized from formaldehyde and other raw materials. Depending on the polymerization method, POM is divided into POM-H (homopolymer) and POM-K (copolymer), both characterized by high density and high crystallinity, and widely used in various engineering fields.

Polyoxymethylene, commonly known as POM, also known as acetal or Delrin, is a thermoplastic engineering plastic polymerized from formaldehyde and other raw materials. Depending on the polymerization method, POM is divided into POM-H (homopolymer) and POM-K (copolymer), both characterized by high density and high crystallinity, and widely used in various engineering fields.

POM is a high-density crystalline polymer with no side chains, featuring a smooth, glossy surface that is light yellow or white in color. It can be used long-term within a temperature range of -40 to 100°C, boasting excellent overall performance. This material is hard and dense, with superior wear resistance and self-lubricating properties compared to most engineering plastics. Additionally, it has good oil and peroxide resistance. With the addition of UV stabilizers, POM's UV resistance can be greatly enhanced, making it suitable for more outdoor applications.

POM CF610 is a special type of polyoxymethylene material with outstanding physical and mechanical properties. At 23°C, POM CF610 has a tensile strength of 94 MPa, a flexural modulus of 6400 MPa, and a flexural strength of 137 MPa. Its static friction coefficient is 0.11, and its dynamic friction coefficient is 0.15, indicating very low friction characteristics. Furthermore, its Taber wear is only 23 mg/1000 cycles, demonstrating excellent wear resistance.

In terms of thermal performance, the heat deflection temperature of POM CF610 in an unannealed state is 165°C at 0.45 MPa and 160°C at 1.8 MPa. This material has a specific gravity of 1.45 g/cm³, with a shrinkage rate of 0.5% in the flow direction and 1% in the transverse direction. These properties make POM CF610 an outstanding material in high-temperature and high-stress environments.
