01 | Product Overview
Hytrel® 4056 is a high-performance thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE) developed by DuPont. It is made of the TPC-ET material system and combines the flexibility of rubber with the strength of engineering plastics. It is specially designed for various molding methods and complex structural designs. Its typical characteristics include:
・Material type: TPC-ET thermoplastic polyester elastomer
・Appearance and form: Granular, natural color
・Processing methods: Supports multiple methods such as injection molding, extrusion, calendering, thermoforming, casting, and coating
・Material properties: Suitable for various application forms such as films, profiles, pipes, and plates
・Additive system: Equipped with UV inhibitors to enhance outdoor weather resistance
・Flame retardant grade: Complies with UL 94 HB, suitable for use in non-critical electrical components

02 | Performance advantages
Hytrel® 4056 achieves a good balance between flexibility and mechanical properties, demonstrating the following significant advantages:
High flexibility and mechanical strength coexist
・It has strong tear resistance and impact resistance, and remains flexible at low temperatures
・The tensile strength can reach up to 26 MPa, making it suitable for dynamic load scenarios
・It has excellent fatigue resistance and is suitable for long-cycle bending and dynamic usage requirements
Stable thermal performance
・The melting temperature reaches 152°C, making it suitable for medium and high-temperature processing techniques
・The heat distortion temperature is 48°C (0.45MPa), suitable for general heat load applications
・The embrittlement temperature is as low as -97°C, and it remains soft even in extremely cold environments
Excellent dimensional and wear resistance control
・The linear expansion coefficient is low, and the flow direction is 1.3E-4 cm/cm/°C
・The wear volume is only 200 mm³, and it is far superior to ordinary elastomers in terms of wear resistance
・Low water absorption rate and good dimensional stability, suitable for processing precision components
It has outstanding electrical insulation capacity
・The volume resistivity is as high as 7E+12 Ω·cm
・The dielectric strength is 18 KV/mm, which can meet the usage requirements of basic electrical structural components
・The CTI value is as high as 600V, and it has excellent arc resistance
