What is Natural PEEK Material
VESTAKEEP® 2000FC30 is a composite natural PEEK material launched by Evonik. It is based on the polyetheretherketone (PEEK) system and incorporates a triple filling formula of 10% PTFE, 10% carbon fiber and 10% graphite.
This structure endows the material with excellent wear resistance, lubrication and flame retardancy simultaneously, making it suitable for application scenarios with strict requirements for friction and temperature, such as automotive power systems, electronic and electrical components, mechanical bearings and gear parts.
01 | Performance analysis: Designed for stabilizing friction environments
Compared with ordinary PEEK, VESTAKEEP® 2000FC30 has significantly enhanced the following three performance aspects:
・Lubrication and wear resistance: The synergistic effect of PTFE and graphite significantly reduces the coefficient of friction, ensuring stable sliding even at high temperatures or during long-term operation.
・Structural strength and thermal stability: The addition of carbon fiber enhances the material's rigidity and dimensional stability, enabling it to maintain a good mechanical shape in environments above 300°C.
・Flame retardancy and electrical safety: Reaches UL94 V-0 grade, suitable for high-safety standard electronic devices and automotive electronic control modules.
For design projects that need to balance "wear resistance + flame retardancy + dimensional stability", this natural PEEK material provides a reliable basis for selection.
02 | Processing and application adaptation
VESTAKEEP® 2000FC30 adopts a medium viscosity system and can be processed by standard injection molding, featuring low shrinkage and high molding accuracy.
It still maintains good fluidity at high temperatures and is highly suitable for manufacturing parts with complex structures and precise fits.
