What is LDPE 2426H Plastic Material
In the era of efficient packaging and lightweight products, how to strike a balance between flexibility, processability and visual beauty? LDPE 2426H, developed by CNOOC Shell, is a low-density polyethylene material (LDPE plastic material) with an opening agent and a slip agent formula. It is specially designed for film applications and widely serves multiple industries such as food packaging, daily chemical packaging, and medical and health film materials.
01 | LDPE Plastic Material Performance Highlights
Lightweight and high toughness: The low specific gravity design (about 0.92 g/cm³) makes it particularly outstanding in weight reduction applications, while also having good tensile and tear strength.
Excellent opening and low friction: Contains opening agents and slip agents to effectively reduce adhesion between films and improve the efficiency of automatic packaging lines.
Good optical transparency: high haze, low gloss, and good gloss meet packaging scenarios with high requirements for display and aesthetics.
Strong sealing: Good heat sealing performance can achieve low-temperature heat sealing, and is suitable for high-speed heat sealing equipment to ensure tight sealing without leakage.
Suitable foaming performance: Stable in the foaming process, suitable for the production of cushioning materials, sanitary products and water-absorbing layers.
02 | Typical application scenarios
Food-grade packaging film: such as frozen food bags, dry food sealing bags, shrink film and cover film, to ensure freshness while improving the packaging aesthetics.
Daily chemical and medical packaging: such as sanitary napkin bottom film, disposable cleaning bags, etc., applications with high requirements for softness and sealing.
Foaming cushioning material: used to prepare soft foam parts, lining gaskets, insole materials, etc.
Lamination and composite film substrate: as an intermediate layer or outer layer composited with other materials to improve the overall packaging structure performance.
03 | Processing suggestions and precautions
LDPE 2426H plastic material has good thermal stability and fluidity, a wide processing window, and is suitable for common extrusion blow molding equipment and physical foaming processes. The following are some process parameters for reference:
Film blowing temperature: It is recommended that the main machine temperature be set between 160–190°C, depending on the equipment and film thickness;
Die head temperature: It is recommended to set the temperature between 180–200°C, which helps to improve the smoothness of the film surface;
Foaming molding: It can be blended with foaming agents and applied to sanitary materials or buffer layers;
Compatibility: It can be mixed with other LDPE and LLDPE to adjust the film strength and softness.
During the processing, attention should be paid to prevent overheating and oxidation, avoid the degradation of optical properties and yellowing of products.
