What is Ethylene Vinyl Alcohol Copolymer ?

EVOH E105 is a high-performance material based on ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer. It has excellent gas barrier properties, good mechanical strength, and stable thermal properties. It is widely used in food, medicine, the industry and other packaging fields with strict requirements for oxygen and moisture barrier.

Excellent gas barrier performance

EVOH E105 has very low permeability to oxygen, carbon dioxide and other gases, which can effectively prevent oxygen from entering the interior of the package, extend the shelf life of food or drugs, and is an ideal intermediate layer of multi-layer composite high barrier materials.

Good mechanical strength and toughness

The tensile strength of the material reaches 58.8 MPa and the modulus is 2060 MPa, showing high strength and rigidity. At the same time, it has good impact toughness and surface hardness (Rockwell hardness M scale of 88), showing excellent cracking resistance in a variety of packaging structures.

Stable hot working performance

De ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer has a melting index of 5.5g /10min at 190°C, 13 g/10min at 210°C, a melting point of about 164°C, and a glass transition temperature of 55°C, suitable for co-extrusion, blow molding, injection molding and other hot processing processes.

Environmental protection, safety and size stability

The density is 1.14g /cm³, the thermal expansion rate is low, the size is stable during the molding process, and it is not easy to deform, which meets the standards of food contact materials, and can be safely used in food, medicine and other industries with high health requirements.

Voedselverpakking: EVOH E105 suitable for vacuum packaging, modified atmosphere packaging, plastic wrap, multi-layer composite bottle body, etc., to prevent oxygen penetration, extend the shelf life of easily oxidized food.

Medicine and medical packaging: De ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer can be used for pill blister packaging, injection bags, medical catheters and other products to improve sealing and health safety.

Industrial and electronic packaging: Used for fuel pipeline lining, chemical packaging, moisture-proof sealing packaging of electronic components, reduce the permeability of gas and chemicals.
